Jon Swain is an English journalist who has reported on the world's wars and disasters in Asia and Africa for more than 40 years. He was the only British journalist in Phnom Penh when it fell to the Khmer Rouge in 1975, on which he based his memoir. He also features in the the Oscar-winning film, The Killing Fields, where he is played by Julian Sands. He has a website at www.jonswain.org.
